Education for Empowerment
Children and young people, including women from low-income backgrounds and those living in poverty are twice as likely to be out of school. GOTLEHS recognises the transformative power of education in breaking the cycle of poverty and unlocking boundless potential.
We strive to provide educational opportunities to women, children and young people living in poverty, ensuring that regardless of their background, they have the chance to pursue their dreams.
We would focus on skill development and build the capacity of children and young people to use their creative skills not only productively, but in a way that empowers them to engage in businesses, trade and have control over the commercial exchange process. We expect the educational outcomes to be fully empowering, giving our beneficiaries relevant skills and building their marketing, scientific and trading capacities.
Education is one of the most important investments a country can make in its people and its future. Investing in education is critical and the single most effective way of reducing poverty and inequality. For example, if all children and young people in Nigeria left school with reading skills, 100 million people could be lifted out of poverty.
Education gives people critical skills and tools to help them better provide for themselves and their children. It helps people work better and can create opportunities for sustainable and viable economic growth now and in the future. Education helps fight the spread of diseases, reduces mother and child mortality, and helps improve health. Education encourages transparency, good governance, stability and helps fight against graft and corruption.
Gotlehs is dedicated to unleashing the potential and creating a brighter future for the next generation. We have set a target that in the next five years, we will build schools and provide scholarships, school infrastructure development, and educational programs to support 30,000 students on learning, having digital access and building skills to unlock their true capabilities, which is a wonderful ambition and goal.
Health and Wellbeing
Good health allows people to reach their full potential and be productive. GOTLEHS is committed to improving healthcare access, promoting preventive measures, and supporting medical facilities in areas with limited resources.
We work with so many children and young people, including women to create a sustainable and inclusive healthcare ecosystem and remove the barriers that keep them out of success in life, making a difference in their lives.
